Images and the commentary on their meaning have always been central to the Jungian exploration of dreams, visions, myths and the emerging self. The close connection between word and image is part of how analytical psychology approaches archetypes that are foundational to understanding symbols derived from the unconscious.
In the spirit of this natural connection, Jung Journal: Culture & Psyche and San Francisco ARAS (The Archive for Research in Archetypal Symbolism) have recently joined in a collaborative venture to present images and the amplification of their meaning, which are featured in the Journal.
