Are you interested in analytical psychology and becoming more closely connected to the Institute? The Friends of the Institute offers a great way to join the extended community of people who find personally and socially meaningful the insights of C. G. Jung and those who have expanded and amplified his work. Jung himself believed that his ideas would remain most vital if they were actively shared, discussed and even altered through that discussion in order to answer the needs of future generations. The Friends group is designed to help nurture that dynamic.

Friends Membership and Programs
Membership in Friends costs $100 per year, and is open to everyone. As a member of Friends, you’ll have free access to a calendar of cultural events offered five times a year and focused on art, literature, music, film and more, all informed by the insights of Jungian psychology. Our presenters, including analyst members of the Institute, come from a wide range of disciplines. Events usually include a discussion followed by refreshments and socializing. Guests (for a fee) are welcome at most events. CLICK HERE to see our upcoming events calendar (Friends’ events appear in red).

Reading Groups
Friends of the Institute also sponsors reading groups in San Francisco, East Bay, Marin and Sonoma counties. Open to all members, these groups meet monthly in private homes to discuss works selected by the group. The readings generally have some relationship to the Jungian view of the psyche. To find an active reading group near you, contact junginterest@gmail.com.
